Principals Richard Mgrdechian is the founder and President of Prometheus Partners. Mr. Mgrdechian has extensive operational experience and expertise in the areas of corporate management, business development, finance and operations for both startups and turnarounds, including specific industry expertise in the field of technology and telecommunications. Mr. Mgrdechian most recently served as CEO of PetaLogic Corporation, a Silicon Valley startup developing monolithically integrated electro-optical components for low-cost CWDM transceiver modules for optical communications systems. Prior to PetaLogic, Mr. Mgrdechian was President of Renwick Corporate Finance, a boutique merchant bank providing strategic and financial advisory services to small cap technology companies. These services included development and analysis of business plans, operating models and financial projections, industry and competitor analysis, evaluating strategic business combinations, identification of potential investors and assistance in implementation of turnaround plans. Prior to Renwick, Mr. Mgrdechian was an Associate in the Restructuring and Reorganization Department of The Blackstone Group in New York where he represented debtors and creditors in multiple advisory assignments involving distressed situations. In-depth valuation analysis and detailed plans of reorganization were prepared for the purposes of creating sustainable capital structures, issuance of new securities and providing recoveries to creditors. Mr. Mgrdechian negotiated on behalf of various parties to achieve workable solutions among multiple constituencies. Mr. Mgrdechian holds and MBA from the Columbia University in New York and a BS/EE from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, CA. Mr. Mgrdechian remains actively involved in the Caltech community.
